Umurava Overview
Our partner Global BPO company is hiring 100 Call Center Representatives who are proficient in speaking French. Your primary responsibility will be to do the automated surveying campaign by handling automated calls and engaging individuals through a pre-set auto-dealing system, accurately entering and updating information in the system, tracking call outcomes, escalating issues, and following a structured script to verify and validate the information.

In addition, we have recently acquired an HR-FinTech Startup called SokoFund. It offers modern HR & Payroll Management Software alongside an Embedded Finance Super App for Employees and Contractors that help them access financial services such as salary advances, loans, device financing, insurance, savings, etc.
Over the past 3.5 years, we’ve helped 400+ companies hire and outsource 1400+ talents, and over 20K professionals use our platform for career growth and skills development.
Our Product Lines:
- Umurava For Companies: We enable companies and organizations to hire and outsource African Digital Talents faster and easier by leveraging AI Technology and Talent Management Expertise. Companies can access both full-time and freelance talents for their jobs and projects.
- Umurava For Talents: We assess and place young talents in digital jobs and projects. Additionally, we design and implement various talent development and job creation programs to build technical and soft skills for young people to acquire all the essentials needed to land job opportunities, including Skills Assessments, Talent Accelerator Programs, Job Readiness Programs, and career growth resources.
- Umurava For Educational Institutions: We offer products and programs that empower educational institutions, such as universities and training institutions, by helping them better prepare their students for the modern job market and boosting graduates’ employment rates.
- Umurava for Governments & Development Partners: We partner with government institutions, NGOs, and developmental organizations to design and implement digital job creation programs that democratize in-demand skills and job opportunities for a wider range of communities and talents. The government also leverages Umurava to access Data and Insights for the job market.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Backed by our mission to build Africa’s largest workforce of digital talents and connect them with job opportunities locally and globally, we aim to build a strong community of advocates and influencers who support umurava’s visibility, outreach, and talent-mobilization efforts.
To achieve this, Umurava is launching the Umurava Ambassador Program, designed to engage university students, young talents, and working professionals who are passionate about youth empowerment, digital economy, education, talent development, and innovation. This Ambassador program will enhance the distribution of our HRTech and EdTech Products, Services, and solutions that benefit thousands of African talents.
The Umurava Ambassador Program is a strategic brand and community development initiative that will expand our influence, drive talent sourcing, strengthen partnerships, and cultivate a network of passionate advocates. It aligns with Umurava’s mission to be one of the leading Africa's talent marketplace platforms for digital talents and drive job creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE OF WORK
Branding & Marketing
- Promote Umurava’s products, services, events, and success stories within your university, workplace, community, or association.
- Drive brand awareness through online and offline channels, introducing solutions such as Talent Profile, Competence, CareerTicket, TalentXperience, and the Marketplace.
- Support both offline and online marketing campaign and activities
- Participate in external events—seminars, hackathons, job fairs, conferences—where you can represent Umurava’s brand.
Community Management & Talent Mobilization
- Mobilize students, graduates, and professionals to join the Umurava Talent Cloud and apply for opportunities on Umurava Platform.
- Organize and facilitate info sessions, workshops, meet-ups, and community activities that highlight Umurava’s offerings.
- Build collaborations with student associations, tech communities, innovation hubs, and youth-led organizations.
- Support group registrations, onboarding assistance, and peer guidance on navigating Umurava’s platform.
- Encourage participation in Umurava programs, career events, challenges, bootcamps, and other engagement initiatives.
Data & Insights
- Report community reactions and engagement levels to help shape program design, communication, and outreach efforts.
- Submit monthly activity updates and progress reports using simple templates provided by Umurava.
- Provide feedback on platform usability, content needs, and program improvements based on your interactions.
- Participate in evaluation calls or check-ins to share learnings, challenges, and recommendations.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The program is open to:
- University and TVET students
- Recent Graduates
- Young Professionals (18 - 35)
- Early and mid-career talents
- Individuals with influence in their communities (clubs, associations, tech groups, content creators, influencers)
The Ambassadors should demonstrate:
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for digital careers and youth empowerment
- High engagement in community activities or digital platforms
- Commitment to representing Umurava positively
EXPECTED OUTPUTS
- Increased traffic and sign-ups for Umurava Products and Programs
- Increased talent profiles joining Umurava Talent Cloud
- Increased job applications
- Higher visibility on social media platforms and offline communities
- Strengthened partnerships with campus and youth organizations

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) FOR THIS ROLE PER MONTH
- Number of New Talents Onboarded to Umurava Platform: This indicator drives platform growth and increases candidates pipeline (It will be measured by unique sign-ups using referral ID or tracking link).
- Number of Applications or Participation on Products and Programs: This indicator measures the active conversions, not just the awareness (it will be measured by counting the individuals applying for available roles and programs.
- Brand Awareness & Marketing Activities: Keeping Umurava visible in communities by doing various activities such as social media posts per month, attending a number of events per month, organizing offline activations per month.
- Events & Community Engagements Hosted or Supported: It drives the trust, credibility and deeper engagement. Tracking workshops organized per month, info sessions organized per month, Meet ups organized per month, partnerships created per month, campus activations conducted per month.
- Partnerships & Collaborations Initiated: Expands Umurava’s reach and distribution network. Tracking the partnerships formed with a number of student associations, hubs, organizations, clubs, communities engaged, and MoU formed or secured.
The KPI Targets will be measured on the following 5 KIPS: Talents Onboarded, Application Conversations, Social Promotion, Events, and Partnerships.
