The Rwanda Forestry Authority (RFA) is a government agency responsible for ensuring the sustainable growth, management, and protection of forest resources in Rwanda.

1. Job Title: Internal Auditor

Job responsibilities

  • To prepare a work/audit plan and submit it to the Board’s Audit Committee for approval;

  • To ensure that there is appropriate follow-up of the implementation of recommendations made in the audit reports;

  • To appraise the completeness, soundness, adequacy, and applications of the whole internal control system

  • To ascertain the extent to which the existing internal control system ensures compliance with relevant rules and regulations;

  • To ascertain whether RWFA assets are adequately safeguarded against losses arising from fraud, irregularities, and corruption

  • To ascertain whether books of account are properly kept and recorded;

  • To ascertain whether all RWFA operations are executed efficiently and effectively;

  • Prepare audit reports Perform any other task assigned to him/her

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a foundation level one of CPA/CIA/CPFA/CPFM/ACCA (Applied Knowledge of ACCA) or Stage two of CAT/ API Certificate with 0 Year of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a foundation level one of CPA/CIA/CPFA/CPFM/ACCA (Applied Knowledge of ACCA) or Stage two of CAT/ API Certificate with 0 Year of relevant experience

  • bachelor's degree in Finance with a foundation level one of CPA/CIA/CPFA/CPFM/ACCA (Applied Knowledge of ACCA) or Stage two of CAT/ API Certificate with 0 Year of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management with at least foundation level one of CPA/CIA/CPFA/CPFM/ACCA (Applied Knowledge of ACCA) or Stage two of CAT/ API Certificate with 0 Year of relevant experience

2. Job Title: Secretary To Central Secretariat

Job responsibilities

  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondences;

  • Receiving, sorting and recording all incoming correspondence/ documents;

  • Dispatching incoming correspondence to respective destination;

  • Proper filing and storage of dossiers returned to the central secretariat.

  • Receiving, sorting, recording and stamping all out going correspondence/ documents;

  • Dispatching all outgoing correspondences to respective destination;

  • Making copies and timely filing of all the copies of the outgoing couriers Proper filing and storage of dossiers returned to the Central Secretariat;

Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Office Management with 0 Year of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies, Public Administration, Administrative Sciences, Sociology, Management, Office Management, Business Administration with 0 Year of relevant experience

3. Job Title: Environmental Risk Management Specialist

Job responsibilities

  • Ensure environmental compliance and permitting for project activities.

  • Provide environmental support and expertise for a based busingood projects implementation.

  • Have relevant environmental permitting, inspection, and field survey experience, with the ability to lead and participate in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Use environmental knowledge and skills to support complex projects, acquire permits, complete risk assessments, conduct due diligence, and advise multidisciplinary teams on environmental risk and compliance

  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge and experience with biological field survey protocols, erosion control and storm water inspections

  • Conduct Identification, management, and mitigation of environmental risks

  • Ability to support multiple projects with multifaceted environmental and regulatory issues and assist in resolving complex environmental matters

  • Provide guidance on alternatives to minimize environmental impacts

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Geology with 7 Years of relevant experience

  • Master's Degree in Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Geology with 4 Years of relevant experience

  • Excellent in writing and speaking English; and good knowledge in French is an added value.

4. Job Title: Spatial Planning Specialist

Job responsibilities

  • Ensures effective oversight of planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring of the project activities under his/her responsibility and tracking financial resources;

  • Lead and manage the development of baseline indicators and targets for the Spatial Planning component;

  • Develop the process for collection, analysis of monitoring data for progress evaluation and produce reports in line with program requirements;

  • Manage stakeholder engagement activities; meetings, workshops etc. nationally and internationally;

  • Identify technical support needs for the project, develop scopes of work in collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Urban and Regional Planning with 7 Years of relevant experience

  • Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with 4 Years of relevant experience

Required competencies and key technical skills

  • Integrity

  • Professionalism

  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage.

  • Urban planning and design skills
