Job Description

Smart Retails Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong financial management and auditing expertise to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance, support strategic financial decision-making, and improving internal controls. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Prepare and analyze financial statements (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Manage accounts payable/receivable, sales, expenditures, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Regular reconciliation of the company’s bank statements, sales reports and bookkeeping ledgers.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to produce full set of Financial Reports monthly as per Company requirements.

Tax Compliance:

Ensure the Company's Tax Returns and other compliance reports are processed, filed and paid in a timely manner.

Audit & Compliance:

Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring adherence to accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Manage internal and external audit for the company, ensuring auditors have all information and clarifications required to complete an accurate audit.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls.
Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth audits.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Monitor expenditures and provide cost-saving recommendations.

Process Improvement:

Streamline accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices in financial reporting and audit readiness.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in auditing.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP ERP, Odoo) and advanced Excel.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and audit procedures.
Excellent analytical, communication, time management and leadership skills.
