GNI in Rwanda is legally registered and has endeavored to improve child sponsorship and protection, health, education, WASH, agriculture & livelihood, humanitarian assistance, advocacy, and social economy in 22 Districts.

BACKGROUND

Good Neighbors International (GNI)is an international humanitarian and developmental organization in General Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC operating in 46 countries around the world. GNI in Rwanda is legally working in Rwanda since 1994 and duly registered under RGB with registration No 000007/RGB/INGO/RC/09/2023 and has endeavored to improve child sponsorship and protection, health, education, WASH, agriculture & livelihood, humanitarian assistance, advocacy, and social economy in 22 Districts.

 Sponsorship Intern to be based at GNR Head Office located in Kimihurura Sector Gasabo District with travels to field in Nyamiyaga sector, Ngoma Cell.

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Sponsorship Manager and related team members, Sponsorship Intern will:
  • Learn and understand all activities of the SSD programs
  • Assist with distributions, taking photos and videos of children in different program activities including but not limited to GML, APR, CIF, ACL in close collaboration with sponsorship team
  • Conduct additional field visits to follow up of ongoing program activities
  • Assist with translation of children letters from Kinyarwanda to English
  • Assist with payments and report (s) writing
  • Other duties as assigned

Contract Duration5 months 

Qualifications: The candidate must be

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, project management and related field
  • A Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Sponsorship Implementation Program.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Kinyarwanda and strong interpersonal skills to interact with children
  • Good IT skills including proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel.
  • Extremely well-organized multi-tasker.

Qualified candidates are requested to submit a cover letter, CV including names of at least 4 position-relevant referees with scanned copies of certificates/diplomas and National ID
