Job responsibilities

Assess patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and functional abilities.

Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs.

Help patients regain or improve independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility.

Provide rehabilitation for patients with neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, or other disabling conditions.
-
Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
-
Educate patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
-
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Maintain accurate patient records, assessments, treatment notes, and progress reports.
-
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, speech therapists, psychologists, and social workers.

Ensure compliance with professional ethics, infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.

Participate in continuous professional development, clinical teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (A0) in Occupational Therapy Sciences
0 Year of relevant experience

Valid License to practice issued professional council in Rwanda
