SENIOR OFFICER, INVESTIGATION

Job Summary

The purpose of this job holder is to support the business to achieve its goals and strategic objectives through his/her Line Manager by ensuring effective and contemporary investigation of fraud.s.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Develop policies and procedures to prevent fraud activities and to recover any incurred losses.
  • Identify weakness of current control process and recommend enhancements.
  • Collaborate in investigations with appropriate business partners, local authorities, and National security organs.
  • Conduct investigations into allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse committed by EBR staff members, customers, and all cases of any nature against the Bank.
  • Review and research evidence/documents to analyze the overall fact pattern of the claim and synthesize data into a professional report with recommendations (in good and sound written English).
  • Prepare and coordinate field assignments to obtain relevant evidence and information.
  • Coordinate with the legal department to obtain legal advice in the management of respective fraud cases that require the prosecution process.
  • Perform objective, fair, and timely investigations.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or business studies with related professional qualification in Investigation or other relevant certification preferred (e.g certificate of insurance fraud investigator).
  • Proven working experience in a related field.
  • Over 5 years of working experience with National Security Agencies.
  • Good knowledge of fraud investigation.
  • Strong Communication and Negotiation skills.
  • Display good interviewing and interrogation skills along with the capability of drafting reports.
  • Security-oriented and results-driven attitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of security policies & procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate cases and claims.
  • Good understanding of the security industry.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Result-driven attitude
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Investigation analytical skills.
  • Experience in security management.
  • Ingenuity and persistence to obtain case information not readily available with an eye for detail.
  • Honest and ethical with high levels of integrity and confidentiality
