Mission/Core purpose of the Job

The Treasury & Cash Management Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient liquidity management, timely payment processing, and optimal cash positioning across Mobile Money operations. The role supports financial stability by managing cash flows (excluding trust accounts), maintaining sufficient liquidity, and ensuring seamless settlement of transactions.

Key Performance Areas

• Monitor daily cash positions across all operational accounts.
• Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet transaction and settlement obligations.
• Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements.
• Optimize fund allocation across banks and wallets.
• Manage cash buffers to minimize liquidity risk.
• Oversee execution of all Mobile Money-related payments and settlements.
• Ensure timely processing of transactions with banks, partners, and internal systems.
• Monitor settlement cycles and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with payment partners and financial institutions.
• Manage treasury activities excluding trust accounts.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of operational accounts.
• Maintain relationships with partner banks and financial institutions.
• Monitor transaction volumes and funding needs.
• Identify and mitigate liquidity and operational risks.
• Implement internal controls for cash handling and payments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and provide required documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity and cash reports.
• Analyze trends in cash usage, transaction volumes, and funding requirements.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Track key treasury KPIs.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Technology teams.
• Liaise with banks, payment service providers, and partners.
• Support business initiatives requiring treasury input.

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in treasury, financial operations, banking operations, or mobile money operations.
• Experience working with banks, payment systems, or financial services institutions is highly desirable.

Education Background

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
