What We’re Looking For 

As a Senior Consultant in Accounting and Tax Advisory, you will play a pivotal role in delivering  high-quality technical services while ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws. A key 

part of your role is building long-term client relationships through consistent communication,  participation in industry engagements, and active networking. Understanding client needs and  recommending the most appropriate solutions will be essential to your success. 

You will also contribute to strengthening service quality across the organization through  training initiatives, internal reviews, and continuous improvement. Staying updated on tax  laws—both in Rwanda and client jurisdictions—is critical. You will also support the  customization of services to improve client satisfaction and contribute to broader  improvements in processes, tools, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver high-quality accounting and tax advisory services 
• Ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulations 
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through communication and networking 
• Drive service quality improvements through training, internal reviews, and best  practices 
• Customize services and solutions to enhance client satisfaction 
• Conduct research and develop memos, best practices, and training materials on  accounting and tax topics 
• Support complex accounting clean-ups and rectification projects 
• Lead advisory mandates for clients on accounting, tax, and compliance matters 
• Support and/or lead tax dispute handling with RRA 
• Prepare accurate financial reports and provide insights for decision making 
• Lead engagements ensuring high-quality, timely, and error-free deliverables 
• Stay updated with industry trends, tax laws, ERP developments, and professional  standards

About You 

• Must be fully qualified CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA 
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, tax, or audit, with the ability to manage  client engagements independently 
• Strong communication skills in English (French is an advantage) 
• Strong knowledge of major ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, NetSuite), enabling efficient  and technology-driven service delivery

At this stage of your career, you have already built several years of professional experience. You  will support the team’s success by handling complex technical work, leading client interactions,  and proactively contributing to the firm’s growth. 

You will establish yourself as a valuable asset by taking the lead on new client mandates, with  support from a Team Lead when required. 

Beyond your core responsibilities, you will actively develop technical strengths that can evolve  into specialized service offerings tailored to specific industries or client needs. 

Within the next 2–3 years, you will be well-positioned to grow into a technical expert role or  take on responsibilities as a Deputy Team Lead.
