Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) Overview

The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) has the mandate to manage and promote social security in Rwanda. RSSB's vision is to provide a comprehensive social security system that caters to the diverse social security needs of the population, RSSB plays an important role in realising Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). RSSB manages six social security schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazards, Medical scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits and EjoHeza (Long-term Term Saving Scheme).

As a leading player in the financial sector, RSSB serves as the largest institutional investor in Rwanda. With assets under management amounting to 3 trillion Rwf, which is equivalent to over 15% of the country's GDP, RSSB invests in key sectors of the economy and plays a crucial role in growing the country's financial sector. With approximately 12 million members in the above six schemes, encompassing over 90% of Rwanda's population, RSSB is at the forefront of securing the health and financial well-being of Rwandans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Execution

  • Design high-quality marketing materials including brochures, flyers, fact sheets, billboards, signage, roll-up banners, and sales center materials.
  • Develop digital assets for social media, email campaigns, websites, and paid advertisements.
  • Translate campaign briefs into visually compelling creative outputs aligned with brand direction.

Brand Consistency

  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all projects and platforms.
  • Maintain visual identity standards including typography, color palettes, layouts, and imagery.
  • Support the refinement and evolution of brand templates and creative systems.

Project Marketing Support

  • Design project-specific materials for residential and commercial developments.
  • Support visual storytelling for launch campaigns, open houses, and model unit presentations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce cohesive and impactful campaign visuals.

Digital & Production Support

  • Prepare artwork for print production and large-format applications.
  • Optimize visuals for digital performance across platforms.
  • Coordinate with printers and production vendors to ensure quality output.

Content & Visual Development

  • Create branded templates for presentations, reports, and internal communications.
  • Support development of short-form video, motion graphics, or basic animation when required.
  • Contribute creative ideas to elevate campaign aesthetics and engagement.
  • Perform any other duties relevant to the Graphic Design function as may be assigned from time to time.

Key Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate must have at least:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Experience in real estate, lifestyle, or corporate branding is an added advantage.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital work.
  • Experience preparing print-ready files and large-format designs.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into the design workflow to enhance creativity and optimize visual outputs.

Key competencies Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and production standards.
  • Knowledge of digital optimization techniques for online platforms.
  • Ability to prepare artwork for print and large-format production.
  • Brand identity management and template development.

  • Strong creativity balanced with discipline in applying brand guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
