Job Title: Relationship Manager
Reports to: Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking
Department: Corporate & Institutional Banking
Purpose of the Role
To manage and grow an assigned portfolio of corporate customers by delivering sustainable revenue growth, deepening customer relationships, expanding wallet share, and ensuring superior service delivery. The role is responsible for achieving business growth targets through effective relationship management, credit origination, portfolio quality management, and cross-selling of the Bank's products while maintaining sound risk management practices and long-term customer profitability.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver agreed targets for deposits, loans, trade finance, transaction banking, and non-funded income.

Grow wallet share and profitability within the assigned corporate portfolio.

Develop and implement account plans for key corporate relationships.

Identify and acquire new corporate clients in line with the Bank's target market strategy.

Proactively identify business opportunities and structure appropriate banking solutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customers' businesses, industries, and financial requirements.

Ensure all credit proposals are properly analyzed, documented, and submitted within agreed turnaround times.

Monitor portfolio quality and ensure compliance with approved terms and conditions.

Drive cross-selling and product penetration.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Maintain accurate portfolio records and performance reports.

Monitor deposits, loans, income, customer activity, and profitability.

Resolve customer complaints and service issues within agreed service standards.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of banking services.

Ensure customers are informed of changes in products, tariffs, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, Accounting, or a related field.

Professional banking or credit qualifications are an added advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum 4 years' experience in banking, corporate banking, commercial banking, or relationship management.

Proven experience in business development, credit analysis, and portfolio management.

Strong understanding of corporate banking products and services.

Sound knowledge of credit analysis and risk management.
-
Good understanding of Rwanda's business and economic environment.

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
